Cross post from
Richmondtrials :
The build is finally finished! I was skeptical about switching from the Slate II to the Kortz, but afterall it rides like a dream. Thank you Kevin and

15-hour review:
The frame is surprisingly stiff. With that, the +65 feels very stable and borders on being effortless on the rear. Also, last night I was tapping much better on the new fork and stem- as in actually tapping to rear instead of to wheels as per usual. I think the old Meta fork was too tall and had too much rake. Plus having a long steerer and fork made the front unresponsive and the rear was sluggish.
Now I can get a bit more lateral travel/tuck on my sidehops, which was the biggest problem with my "technique". It wheelswitches much differently. I need to travel more upward than forward. I have no doubt that over the next week or half dozen rides I will get used to it. Already gotten used to the different steering. Kinda got used to adjusting to this after trying so many bar/stem combinations.
I have not measured the geo, but I'm using an appropriate fork so it should be near whatever is listed.

Sorry the pics are not good. It's winter and it rains every other day so no point scrubbing the bike for pictures. Nice to go from gold to something a little less flashy. The purple/pewter accents had to stay. Anyway I think it looks great.
